This is one of the easiest recipes that I think I will ever post for you. It is a great way to fix some fried rice to go with a meal when you are in a hurry and it really tastes great! I love fixing Hibachi at home and also various Sweet and Sour dishes and are great with a side of fried rice. Often my planning keeps me from fixing rice a day ahead of time, so I discovered this quick and easy way to get the same taste.
First, if you have the Birds Eye Steamer Rice and Veggies in your local grocery store’s freezer section – this is the key ingredient. Pick up a few bags of this and keep them on hand, especially when they are on a great sale. To prepare the rice, steam the package according to the directions. Once completed, I pour the rice and veggies into a bowl and let it cool down in the fridge or freezer if I’m in a hurry for about 20 minutes in the fridge or 5-7 minutes in the freezer.



Next step is to add some seasoning. If I’m fixing chinese food, I add in 2 tsps of Light Soy Sauce. If I’m fixing Hibachi, I add in 2 tsp of Teriyaki sauce. Stir well and taste. If you want a stronger flavor, add in more sauce. Add in 1 tsp of sesame seeds, salt/pepper to taste and you are done! Serve and enjoy!

Super Easy Fried Rice
Ingredients
- 1 bag of Birds Eye Steamer Rice and Vegetable Mix
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 2 tsp Teriyaki or Light Soy Sauce
- 1 egg (optional)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- salt/pepper to taste
Instructions
- Steam the rice and vegetable mixture according to the package directions. Empty into a bowl when cooked and cool down in the refrigerator for 20 minutes or in the freezer for 5-7 minutes.
- On the stovetop, in a saucepan, bring the sesame oil up to hot and add in the garlic. Saute for 1 minute.
- Add in the rice mixture and stir fry for 2 minutes. If adding an egg, move all the rice to the sides of the pan and crack and scramble the egg in the middle, stirring until cooked. Incorporate the egg in to the rice mixture.
- Add in the sauce and taste - add more if you want a stronger flavor.
- Add in the sesame seeds, salt/pepper to taste!
